happy birthday mama!

my wonderful mother had a birthday yesterday...happy birthday mom!!! i love you and miss you. i love that i can talk to you on the phone for hours and hours and even though we make ourselves hang up we still have stuff we could talk about. you have taught me how to open my heart and share my feelings; how to connect with others, and my life is rich because of it. you have loved me unconditionally and whole heatedly and i feel secure because of it. you put my needs first and supported me through every phase of life and i feel special because of it. you have been an example of strength and an amazing mother, i am glad you are mine.

you are beautiful, wonderful, fabulous and funny and i love, love, love you! happy birthday.

my lovely sister rachel turned 35 on march 14. i am a little late with this birthday wish but i wanted to post it anyway.

rachel is wonderful. she is sweet and sensitive. she is an amazing gardener with a green thumb. she has sparkling blue eyes and cascades of ringlets that look like spun gold - she looks like an angel. she is a good cook and homemaker. she is someone you want to hang out with and who will go out of her way to make you comfortable. she is a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, friend and now, a wonderful new mother.

i love you rachel. i love talking with you. i love being your sister and your friend. happy, happy birthday to you!

trip to utah

it's crazy that i have been home from utah a week already...time really flies! it was the my first time getting to see my nephew burke, so it was all burke, all the time - 24/7! i really couldn't get enough of the little munchkin:)

i was able to visit with my friend mindy and see her darling baby eliza.

and i just happened to be in town when my wonderful childhood friend kristy had her baby, so i got to see her and meet janessa - only one day old, what a doll:)

two blocks down from our apartment are two amazing churches right across the street from each other, the episcopal church...


and the catholic church...

the architecture on both churches really is amazing, they both stand so tall and strong it makes me think of the church of england having a stand off with the roman catholic dioceses - quite dramatic i know:)
